ETHOS was founded in 2002 by David A. Sadock and Anita O’Connor, two entrepreneurs with a vision for a company that expertly translates the science of medicine into clinical benefit for stakeholders.

ETHOS’ success was built on the vision and inspiration of David Sadock. In 2002, Dave set out to build a superior medical communications agency that above all else was grounded in science and could fulfill an unmet need in the pharmaceutical and biotech marketplaces: to be a true strategic partner to clients by providing strategic and innovative thinking to help clients achieve their objectives. As CEO, Dave continues to demonstrate the leadership necessary to make ETHOS’ mission a success. David focuses on utilizing his extensive background in and understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech industries to design initiatives focused on bringing value to our clients. Toward that end, he monitors the ever-changing market trends in these industries to better understand our clients’ needs and innovates ways to meet those needs and achieve their objectives.


Before he cofounded ETHOS, David was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for HealthAnswers Education, Inc. Prior to this, he worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb for 12 years in positions of increasing responsibility in sales, senior sales management, and brand marketing. David received his degree in biochemistry from the University of Scranton, where he graduated a Presidential and Mitrani Scholar.

From ETHOS’ beginning in 2002, Anita has worked side by side with Dave to bring the vision of ETHOS to life. With her extensive background in strategic consulting and experience in disciplined thinking and execution, Anita has utilized her skills to build an amazing team at ETHOS that consistently innovates for our clients and utilizes the science in creative and strategic ways to achieve our clients’ objectives. As President, Anita is directly responsible for ensuring that ETHOS delivers on its vision of being the best at interpreting and communicating science to improve patient outcomes. Delivering on this vision requires creating a culture at ETHOS that values superior strategic and scientific thinking and dedication to flawless execution, which leads to consistently building trusted partnerships with our clients based on performance.


Prior to cofounding ETHOS, Anita was the CFO at HealthAnswers Education, Inc. where she was responsible for the financial function of the company and also very involved in leadership and operations. Anita received her degree in accounting from Villanova University and earned her CPA license while practicing public accounting at Arthur Andersen, where she worked for 12 years and held positions of increasing responsibility and leadership.
